On Thursday we had the guest lecture Edwin Dertien. His main words of advice was for us to focus on the experience and let technology compliment it. This advice best suits our project, we want the user to have the best experience through interacting with our machine physically and to not have the technology at the forefront. But to have the QR code give the user more information if they want more.
When we were consulting the product owner we were really pushing on how we could do more with our concept. In this brainstorming session we thought that if we disturbed phones around Enschede, it could possible lead the users to the Installation. With having the phones ring to entice Passer-by’s to pick it up or have a sign. Possibly have a pre-recorded message playing. Doing this could create a mystery to our project, or get passer-by’s curiosity and interest. This could be also included as a part of our campaign, hopefully drawing users to our main installation.
