Technical Morphological chart

Since we agreed on our concept for this project it is time to explore the different ways in which we can realize it. I have done this from a technical perspective in order to figure out how we can deal with the different technical aspects of our installation. This includes the different types of sensors that we could use and the realisation of the turning mechanism. The perfect way to explore many options is by making a morphological chart since we have to make one anyway to complete the design document.

For the sensors we plan on working with light sensors since  those are cheap and effective, we will have to work out ways to make them work outside where the light intensity can drastically change, but we believe we can find a solution to this. The turning mechanism in itself is one of the most challenging part of the installation. Since it is the main interaction mechanism we have to make sure it operates smoothly. We have been brainstorming and asking the tech teachers for advice. We will probably work with PVC tubes.

After making the morphological chart we can discuss the options as a group and decide which road to take when designing our installation. After that, I can start working on the construction drawing.
