Building, building, building … and more building!

Today we collected all the materials we needed for the installation, so I finally was able to start building. Since one picture can say more than a thousand words, so here are a lot of pictures :p

This was the first time I took so much time to design, improve and recalculate on a project. I spend hours redesigning our installation and made 4 itterations before arriving at the final constructing drawing. I do believe it worked out hoever because after cutting the last piece to the correct measurements everything fitted together perfectly. The ring and the stage were completed after a few days and it went smoother then I ever dared to expect. Because I worked out the different measurements multiple times it was easy to fix some small suprises by improvising, since I left as space for finetuning and leeway where possible, so as not to run into any supprises.

later I added the sides of the installations base, I did this in such a way that it could easilly be opened up by removing just 4 screws whilst the construcion of the bases remained solid and in place.
